Grief. We all face it, and it never quite goes away. We grieve anytime there is loss, and we constantly lose the things we love because of the curse of sin. 2 Samuel 21:1-14 is a very difficult passage of Scripture because it confronts us with the horror of sin and won't let us avert our gaze, yet we are ultimately relieved because of the gain we experience in knowing and being known by God.
