Prayer can be a struggle by times, and for a number of reasons- busyness, distractions, repetitiveness, etc. Rarely, though, do we think of doubt and shallowness as being part of that struggle, but our innate self-centredness often turns our prayers into nothing more than a recitation of our wants and best case scenarios. Paul's prayer in Ephesians 3:14-21 stands in stark contrast to this mentality as he prays for strength, love, and perfection in the Ephesian believers, all to the glory of God.
