There are two main focuses of this passage:

1. Jesus Christ is supreme over all creation
2. Jesus Christ is reconciling us to Himself

Jesus Christ is the VISIBLE image of the INVISIBLE God. He is the firstborn, creator, goal and sustainer of all things. Jesus is supreme!

He is also the first head of the church. Without the head, the church could not function. Let’s dive in as we look at this most profoundly written and declarative passage of the deity of Christ in all of scripture.
