Community and Inherent Worth
November 3, 2019 Preacher: Jeff Eastwood Series: Gospel Community
Passage: Colossians 3:20–21
Equality, diversity, equality in diversity: our society seems obsessed with transforming previous social norms, all in advance of what purports to be "fair, just, right, and equitable". But is this type of equality the answer? In Colossians 3:18-4:1, Paul addresses social norms and hierarchical structures through the lens of the gospel, something he has established throughout his letter and recently reiterated in 3:11. Only on a firm foundation of true equality, undergirded by the reality of inherent worth, can members of the family of God assume their roles with gladness. Follow along as Pastor Jeff preaches about the parent and child relationship in a sermon entitled "Community and Inherent Worth" from Colossians 3:20-21.
