Folly

August 2, 2020 Preacher: Dan Thomson Series: Gospel Sacrifice

Passage: Ecclesiastes 10:1–4

Did you know that everything we do has consequences? What does this mean?

It means we have to be very careful. “As believers, especially those who are in leadership, we need to heed the warning here not to think too highly of ourselves. Sin can infiltrate in the smallest of ways, destroy a reputation and affect those around us and the witness of Jesus and His church.

What example do we have of living in a wise way? Jesus! Jesus is the perfect portrait of grace and mercy! He is the example we have of how to deal with conflict, pride, and foolishness. When we look to Him, we then can learn how to live with wisdom!
