Jesus talks in the Gospel of Matthew about the greatest commandment. To anchor His argument, he quotes from Leviticus 19. For that reason, this becomes a very important passage that teaches us what loving our neighbor and obeying the greatest commandment looks like. Loving those around us is a way for us to show the world the love that has been shown to us in Jesus' sacrificial death on our behalf.
