When we forget all of what Christ has done for us, when we forget the gospel, when we forget and neglect all the daily means of grace God has provided for us to draw us closer to Him, when we forget that all of this is designed to change how we think and act, we fail to "grow up" and stay stuck in immaturity. We are to have the heart and mind of a child, but we are not to remain children. The goal is maturity in Christ, so we stand firm in Him and call others to do the same.
