In Esther 8 we have one of the greatest reversal stories in all the bible and it comes at just the right time according to God's perfect wisdom and providence. God does an amazing work to turn the fate of the Jewish people in the completely opposite direction. A reversal that would eventually save the lives of His chosen people – through the boldness of Esther. What is beautiful about this reversal is the picture that it reminds us of the work of Christ on our behalf in His reversal of Satan's evil plan. Death is swallowed up in victory in the resurrection of Christ and this sudden reversal ought to invoke great joy and praise in the lives of those who hail Jesus as King.
