The church of Thyatira is the church in Revelation that we know the least about and yet it is the church that Jesus speaks the longest to. The challenge that the believers were going through had to do with tolerating the sin of idolatry and sexual immorality in their midst. It was easier and more expedient for them to continue in grey areas of sin than to follow God. The question of "how far I should go in accepting and adopting contemporary standards and practices?" is a question that every believer across all time needs to wrestle with. Yet God promises a great reward to those who hold fast to the works of Jesus Christ as revealed in His life and work.
