In Revelation 6 we begin to see the plan of God for the rest of human history, a plan that includes redemption for believers and judgement for unbelievers. The wrath and judgement of God are elements of his person that we typically shy away from, but understanding that they come from his love, justice, and righteousness helps us better understand them. Our wrath is rarely justified and always tainted with selfishness, yet God's is his settled disposition against sin and while mitigated by his patience and long-suffering, when it comes it is terrible indeed. May the wrath and love of God compel us to introduce people to him before it is too late!
