February 9, 2025 Preacher: Jeff Eastwood Series: Revelation

Passage: Revelation 8:1–5

This sermon addresses some key realities of the Christian life, including the care that our Father has for us as his children, his gracious sovereignty, the foundational reality of our prayers, and the importance of praying, especially when it seems like our petitions to God hit the ceiling and bounce back. If we've seen anything thus far in Revelation, it has been the deep compassion, concern, and protection God has for his own, and our small passage for this Sunday is no different. Whatever trial you are enduring, whatever weight you carry, whatever frustration is consuming you, please know—God knows, God cares, God has a purpose for all things, a plan for every moment, and he hears and responds to your prayers. In short, especially when all evidence appears to the contrary, God is good.
