Passage: Revelation 12:1–6
In Revelation 12:1-6 we are looking at the cosmic war between God and evil. On the heels of reminding persecuted saints that God's kingdom will rule over all others forever and ever, John reveals pictorially a sign of the persecuted people of God and the hope they have in Christ. While evil, like a defanged and declawed lion on a leash, roars and seeks to devour believers in God through Christ by the Spirit, believers know that no matter how bad it gets, glory awaits and we can confidently yet humbly invite everyone into an eternal relationship with their Creator and Lord because of what Jesus did for us through his perfect life, sacrificial death, and glorious resurrection. May we indeed rejoice, for the light of Christ has overcome the darkness, and his kingdom is the final rule over all the earth, all for his glory.
