In the 13th chapter of Revelation the final antichrist is revealed. With all the seeming ferocity of previous human regimes and embued with the power of Satan, the final antichrist steps onto the world scene as a counterfeit Messiah. The unbelievers across the globe will be deceived by him and follow him in continued rebellion against God. As part of that rebellion, he and his followers will attempt to silence and destroy the children of God, something they will try to accomplish but will ultimately fail at. As verse 10 says, may we endure persecution through our faith in the true Messiah, Jesus Christ the Righteous.
