Harvest

May 18, 2025 Preacher: Jeff Eastwood Series: Revelation

Passage: Revelation 14:14–20

As the end draws near, God's final judgement has come. The great harvest is now ready to be reaped and the full strength of God's settled disposition against sin is ready to be poured out. For those who have repented of their sin and trusted Christ alone for salvation, that cup of wrath has already been drunk to the dregs by Jesus as he writhed in agony of the cross. For those who reject Jesus and his loving atoning sacrifice, they will bear this wrath themselves for all eternity. We reap what we sow, even if there appears to be a lengthy period of time between our sin and God's judgment. May his long-suffering never cause us to believe that he doesn't care. God cares, and while he stays his hand of justice because of mercy, on this day righteous judgment will fall, and woe, woe, woe to all outside of the grace offered to us through Christ.
