Justice
May 25, 2025 Preacher: Luke Playford Series: Revelation
Passage: Revelation 15:1–8
Revelation 15 presents another heavenly scene that sets the stage for the final expression of God's perfect justice. Christ shows God's supreme justice in a way that is both righteous and deeply merciful. At the cross, we see that God does not ignore sin—He deals with it fully, while also providing a way for sinners to be forgiven. John sees seven angels holding the last seven plagues, described as the completion of God's wrath—not impulsive anger, but a holy and just response to evil reserved for those who choose to reject God. Before the plagues are poured out on the world, a victorious group stands by a sea of glass. These are the faithful who have resisted the beast, and they sing the song of Moses and the Lamb, praising God's just and true ways and proclaiming that His judgments are righteous.
