Messiah

June 29, 2025 Preacher: Jeff Eastwood Series: Summer in the Psalms

Passage: Psalm 2:1–12

From the two ways of life in Psalm 1 come two ways of interacting with God: rebelling against him in a futile and ultimately doomed way; or worshipping, submitting to, and praising the King of Kings. Having seen the description of the ideal person in Psalm 1, we now move to the description of the ideal ruler in Psalm 2. We trust they are the same person, because an ultimate ruler without perfect character is scary, and a person with ideal character but no authority is useless. May we thank God for our Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ, and may we rejoice that one day he will rule on earth as he does now in heaven.
