King

August 31, 2025 Preacher: Jeff Eastwood Series: Summer in the Psalms

Passage: Psalm 145:1–21

Psalm 145, the final Psalm of David, is the only one titled a "Song of Praise", and it rapturously honours the graciously sovereign King of the Universe, Almighty God. It is effusive in its celebration of the one true God and gives us a rich view of many facets of his character and beauty. It is an excellent Psalm; one worth memorizing and praying or singing back to God regularly, perhaps especially on days when it is hardest to do so. He is so good, and so glorious, and we bow our heads and raise our hands and voices to feebly give him thanks for all he is and all he has done!
