A day is coming when every person will stand before God and give an account of their life. Imagine if tonight you were in His presence, and He asked, "Why should I allow you to enjoy eternal life with Me?" What would your answer be? Revelation 20:11-15 gives us a vivid picture of that day, showing a heavenly scene in which God opens the books that record every deed. The question of who will stand and on what basis is answered clearly: our hope rests not on our own merit, but on our inclusion in the book of life. Those whose names are not written there will face a sobering reality—a place called the lake of fire, prepared by God for judgment.
