Presence
November 23, 2025 Preacher: Jeff Eastwood Series: Revelation
Passage: Revelation 21:9–27
On this Sunday, we concluded chapter 21 of Revelation with the full vision of the bride of Christ, the new Jerusalem, dazzling in beauty and radiant in holiness. One of the same angels who, in chapter 17, showed John the prostitute, now calls his attention to the blood-washed bride of Jesus. As she descends, John describes a city reminiscent of Ezekiel's vision of the new temple in chapters 40-48 of his book, a book that ends with the reality that this future temple is now named "The LORD Is There.” What an indescribable blessing it is to think of God's presence, fully with his people, with no barriers or impediments. Oh, what a day that will be when God makes all things new and dwells eternally with his children!
