In Revelation 22:1–5, John is shown the final and ultimate picture of God's restored creation—the New Eden. These five verses continue describing the glorious city that we started to learn about the previous week in chapter 21. This passage shows that the Bible's story ends where it began, but gloriously better. Eden lost becomes Eden restored; creation broken becomes creation renewed; and God dwells with His people in perfect, eternal joy as He is their source for life and light. Have you ever wondered what heaven, the New Eden, is going to be like? It is far greater than you can ever imagine, and as John shares, he is only able to sketch it in words that can never fully capture its beauty.
