Passage: Job 10:1–22
On this Sunday, we looked at another lament of Job in Job 10. Job asks four questions — God, why are you against me? God, why do you watch me so closely? God, why did you create me in the first place? And God, why don't you end my life, the one you made and that has always been in your hands? These are deep questions indeed, certainly not asked flippantly, but directed toward the only one who could possibly answer. Far from cursing God, Job's anguished groanings are hopeful even as they are full of writhing agony. Whatever our current season, may we run to our trustworthy God and not away.
