Conflicted

June 21, 2026 Preacher: Jeff Eastwood Series: The Book of Job

Passage: Job 23:1– 24:25

As we have seen throughout our walk through the book of Job, Job is working out his theology of suffering in real time. As one of our Biblical Counselling professors said in class recently, we frequently find ourselves with our faces pressed to the mat of the wrestling ring of life, and it is here, in these seasons of struggle, that what we know about God is challenged, corrected, expanded, and solidified. As dads, we're supposed to have all the answers and be able to fix anything. While our skills are legendary, there are numerous realities we can't fix, and many times, either publicly acknowledged or privately pleaded, where we do not know what the right way to go is. May we, like Job, trust the one who suffered on our behalf so that we could live abundantly as we grow closer to his Father.
