Community and Hope

February 3, 2019 Preacher: Jeff Eastwood Series: Gospel Community

Passage: Ephesians 1:15–19

We typically define hope as no more than wishful thinking, something that would be nice but probably won't happen. What a contrast this is to how Paul uses this word in Ephesians 1:15-19! Hope is settled trust, firm reassurance, a steadying reality in the midst of uncertainty. Paul, upon hearing of the repentance and faith of the Ephesian believers, reminds them to look up and rehearse the hope they have in their calling, inheritance, and the resurrection power of Jesus. Follow along as Pastor Jeff reminds us once again of the beautiful gospel in a sermon entitled "Community and Hope".
