How often do we ask for wisdom and are willing to wait for the answer? And in waiting, continue to pray for it often? Wisdom doesn’t mean getting what we want necessarily, wisdom is understanding or discerning God’s will. Sometimes we receive confirmation, while other times it’s protection. Prayer can open us up to comprehend God’s word, apply it in wisdom and help us shape our thoughts the way God wants, not the way we want.

In this passage, Paul prays for the church at Colossae, a church he didn’t plant himself and never visited. Yet, he showed love and care for them through prayer and this letter to the church.
