In recent years a new term has been coined, exangelical, meaning a former evangelical who now rejects their previous beliefs and in many cases openly mocks and ridicules them. Although the situation was different in Paul's day, the core is the same — whether in those attempting to earn God's approval or those denying they need it, what is missing is humble faith and trust in Him.
