As God's children, we need His discipline and guidance, even though we often feel that it is unnecessary. God's discipline to His children is always restorative, in that He seeks to draw His children back to Him. Creating humble repentance in us is one of the many ways that God is transforming us into the image of His Son, Jesus Christ.
