Kingdom

October 15, 2023 Preacher: Jeff Eastwood Series: Daniel

Passage: Daniel 2:31–45

The kingdoms of man look impressive from our vantage point but they diminish in their glory from God's vantage point, fading in glory since the Fall and stumbling over their pride since Babel. From Nebuchadnezzar on the kingdoms of man decrease in their glory and increase in their brittleness until Christ comes and destroys them. His kingdom is not another in the long line of men's kingdoms but is instead a radical replacement of them all, something He informed Pilate of in John 18:36. Even now we are a part of His kingdom, spread across all earthly kingdoms, awaiting His second advent and glorious return as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
