To be prepared for the challenges that we are going to face in life, we must have an awareness of the war that is going on around us. There is a battle between the heavenly beings and the demonic beings and Daniel is given insight into this reality in Daniel 10. Daniel's response in this spiritual battle is to pray. What we learn from Daniel's prayer is that God's sovereignty and our prayers are intricately woven together to bring about God's good purposes! We are not just weak and innocent bystanders to the attacks of Satan. Through prayer, we can call on the God of the universe to do what only He can do to bring about victory in our lives over our enemies. God has ultimately defeated our enemy on the cross by cancelling out the legal debt that is against us. Praise God that He fights our battles and wins.
