Nebuchadnezzar is racked with fear, as are all who do not fear the Lord. Fear born out of insecurity, fear of a vision in the night, fear of the spiritual realm, and fear of the interpretation of the vision. All of this fear displays a lack of the fear of the One True God. We are far too finitely frail to be god and yet we attempt it all too frequently. Only when we realize our sinfulness will we truly turn to Only Wise God Who alone is able to save us and cause us to know who we are in Him.
