Exalted

December 10, 2023 Preacher: Jeff Eastwood Series: Daniel

Passage: Daniel 4:34–37

There is a slight double meaning here as when Nebuchadnezzar is humbled by God and as a result, humbles himself before God, he is exalted once again, albeit with a completely new understanding and appreciation for who he is and who God is; something that causes him to rightly exalt God, the only One worthy of exaltation. To praise God is to be humble before Him and thankful to Him; without a heart of humility and gratitude, we cannot exalt the only One deserving of exaltation. Anything less than full submission to God as God is not true worship.
