Confidence

January 28, 2024 Preacher: Luke Playford Series: Daniel

Passage: Daniel 7:1–8

Confidence can be defined as the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something. It carries the idea of firm trust, and as a Christian we can have confidence in God, the creator of the universe. In our passage, Daniel is given a vision in the night and it no doubt left him feeling terrified as he saw four beasts that seemed to get worse and worse as they were revealed. These beasts had great power, but they increased in depravity as well! There was only one place for Daniel to turn to find comfort and peace from what he had witnessed and that was to the God of the universe who setup kings and rulers as He wished! Daniel 7 is a chapter that shows us that we can find all our confidence for our future in God.
