Passage: Daniel 7:13–14

This passage in Daniel 7 is where we find one of Jesus' favourite titles for Himself: the Son of Man. In other parts of the Old Testament, it is used to denote a human being as opposed to God, highlighting the infinite difference between the two while retaining the reality of man being made in God's image. While Jesus is fully man, in Daniel 7:13-14 it is clear that the Son of Man is something greater than simply a man — here is one who comes on the clouds as only God does (Psalm 104:3, Isaiah 19:1), He is given an everlasting dominion, and all humanity serves Him, something only appropriate for God to receive. This One like a son of man is described in Revelation 1:12-16 and here His description and the description of the Ancient of Days is remarkably similar, showing that Jesus is also fully God.
