Passage: Daniel 7:15–28

As we conclude Daniel's vision with some clarifying interpretation, things are still not as clear as we'd perhaps wish them to be. Despite the glory and majesty of both the Ancient of Days and the Son of Man, Daniel is still put off by the arrogance of the little horn and the depravity and ferocity of seemingly unchecked evil perpetrated by humanity. Daniel's focus remains despite repeated attempts to refocus his gaze from the malevolence of the fourth beast to the final judgement and victory of the Most High, something all of us struggle with, especially as the rampant sinfulness and arrogant recklessness of those around us and in positions of power and authority grows. May our hearts be settled, and our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, Who alone is King of Kings and Lord of Lords!"
