As Daniel searches the Scriptures and trusts in the promises of God he is moved to prayer, confessing his sin and the sin of his people and crying out to God for mercy and grace based on His covenant with them. Daniel is struck by both the kindness and severity of God (Romans 11:22) which causes him to repent of sin while also having hope that God will act to save him and his people because of His steadfast love for the glory of His name. We have much to learn about prayer from Daniel!
