This week's passage is Hebrews 13:1-19 and the pastor/author lays out some final practical applications of all of the theology he has preached/written to his audience thus far. The theme that ties everything together seems to be our love and affection—where it originates, who it is directed toward, and what it ultimately hopes to attain. As has been the case throughout the letter/sermon the author/preacher shows us the overwhelming love of God for us through Jesus by His Spirit and rightly focuses our love upward to God and outward to those made in His image. In other words, the kind of love God is ought to be seen in the kind of love we who are being remade in His image show to those around us.
