The text for this Sunday is James 5:7-12 and the title of the sermon is "Steadfastness". James has already introduced the necessity of patiently trusting God in Chapter 1:2-4, 12 and returns to it now as he closes out his letter to encourage his audience to lean harder and go deeper in their relationship with God, especially as it is increasingly more difficult to do so. Christ is our foundation, rock, and anchor, and He is the only hope we have to remain firm in the truth as the winds and waves of falsehood attempt to batter and bruise us into running away from God instead of closer to Him.
