Our passage for this week is James 3:13-18 and the title is "Wisdom". James contrasts two very different ways of thinking and living: "wisdom" that is self-focused and divisive; and the wisdom of God that is selfless and unifying, resulting in peace. At the centre of his letter, he ties together his central point: a life characterized by true faith will evidence itself in Godlike character that results in Christlike morality, God honouring speech, and selfless living, all of which produce peace, the deep peace that only God can give.
